What is beautiful?

It’s a question we all ask at some point in our lives. It’s also a question many of us struggle to answer in a way that satisfies or affirms us.

But what if we could change that for our daughters? And our daughters’ daughters? What if we could give them a picture of beauty they can embrace—a picture they can see every day looking back at them in the mirror?

A rhyming illustrated book appropriate for ages 6–12, What Is Beautiful? is a whimsical and refreshing reflection on how God created us beautifully.

“What Is Beautiful? inspires hearts of all ages to see what beauty truly is and to appreciate and let it shine in each of our lives. Imagine if we all live out the beauty God has created in each of us.” —Elizabeth Dixon, speaker, author, and Chick-fil-A Strategist

Abbie Smith Sprünger is the author of multiple books for young adults and families, and works alongside her husband, Micah, as caretakers of Wesley Gardens Retreat in Savannah, Georgia. Abbie is the proud mother of Elliana, Eden, and Aaliya, adopted from India. Given the differences of ethnicity in their home, and raising two daughters, What Is Beautiful? runs personal. Abbie’s story holds lengthy seasons trapped in eating disorders and exercise addictions. Her journey of healing and discovering beauty is reflected in these pages. You can follow Abbie at @wesleygardenslife.

Ashley Lauren Snyder is an interior designer by trade, turned artist by passion. She’s wife to Jacob and mama to Margo Moon, with a “why” in life of knowing God and making Him known, walking through days with her palms up and heart open. Ashley dreams big and smiles bigger. You can find her at @ashleylaurensnyder, where she shares her heart and life (probably on the back porch with a cup of coffee) from their cabin nestled in the Ozarks of Arkansas.
